A lovely small quiet ski resort. Slopes in excellent condition but small 2man chair lifts or drag lifts, but worth it just for the views and amazing skiing.
A hidden gem, best off piste options in the region and quiet, beautifully groomed pistes. Yes the lifts are a bit old but the mountain more than makes up for it!
Extra fast lift. About 2 min. up. Not so hight prices as in Schladming. Butiful scenery. Mixture of 8 seat lift and cabine lift.
A little bit less busy and more relaxed..
... than the rest of the bustling ski area between Schladming and St. Johann. I had to come back and show my daughter were we took her and her sisters on their first attempts at skiing.
Varied pistes (nothing black from what I could tell). Kids parks with cut out cartoon figures. Timed race course to try your form. All most enjoyable. Ideally suited for families trying to escape the hustle and bustle of the surrounding areas.
A brilliant place for good beginners through to advanced intermediates. The main pistes under the two chairlifts will keep even advanced skiers happy for a couple of days. Once above the 2nd chairlift the snow sure pistes (Fageralm is considered a Schneewinkel - snow pocket, so loads of natural snow!) are a delight even though all the pistes in this sunny plateau are served by T bar lifts. Perfect for mixed ability family groups. Never in my experience has Fageralm been crowded, even during February school holiday periods. Well served by quaint mountain huts.
Old and slow lifts but well worth it for skiers. For an hour first thing you can have the upper lift to yourself and ski at top speeds on well groomed empty slopes (all blue). Gets busier from 10ish. T bars the 3 highest lifts.
Be aware they have old slow lifts unlike the resorts typically display. BUT secret place with beautiful all natural snow that is perfect on holidays when the other areas are over loaded
Lovely snow although slow lifts well worth the wait
